Procedure of the Intervention
Ethnic rhinoplasty requires a wider range of surgical techniques than traditional rhinoplasty. The procedure lasts 2 to 3 hours under general anesthesia. Depending on the desired outcome, it may include: lifting the nasal bridge to increase projection, removing a hump, reducing wide nostrils and alae, and refining the tip. Cartilage grafts (from the ear or ribs) are used to reinforce and define the nasal structure. We favor the open approach for optimal graft precision. We never use silicone implants due to the risk of complications.
Post-operative monitoring and recovery
Bruising for 10 to 15 days. No packing or plaster cast required, just a simple dressing on the nose for 7 days. Mild pain. Breathing difficulties for 7 to 10 days. Swelling gradually subsides. Visible results within 1 to 3 months, final results after 1 year.
