Procedure of the Intervention

The procedure lasts 3 to 4 hours under general anesthesia. The surgeon makes a hidden incision in front of and behind the ear, extending into the scalp. The modern technique involves tightening the SMAS (superficial musculoaponeurotic system), the true support structure of the face, rather than simply pulling on the skin. The excess skin is then removed, and the incisions are closed with fine sutures. A neck lift can be combined with an incision under the chin if necessary.

Post-operative monitoring and recovery

Social downtime of 10 to 15 days (bruising and swelling). Dressing for 24-48 hours, then local care. Stitches removed after 7-10 days. Visible results from the 3rd week. Discreet scars hidden in natural folds and on the scalp. Natural, never pulled-back appearance.

Expected Results

A facelift offers a rejuvenation of 10 to 15 years. The result is natural thanks to the tightening of the SMAS (and not simply a skin tightening). The results last on average 8 to 12 years depending on lifestyle.
