Procedure of the Intervention
Several techniques are available depending on the degree of ptosis. The periareolar technique (scar only around the areola) is suitable for mild ptosis. The vertical technique (scar around the areola + vertical incision to the inframammary fold) is indicated for moderate ptosis. The inverted-T or anchor technique (addition of a horizontal scar in the inframammary fold) is reserved for significant ptosis with a large excess of skin. The surgeon reshapes the breast tissue, repositions the areola, and removes the excess skin. If volume augmentation is desired, breast implants can be inserted during the same surgical procedure.
Post-operative monitoring and recovery
Wearing a compression bra day and night for one month is mandatory. Swelling and bruising will last for two to three weeks. You can return to work after seven to ten days. You can resume sports activities after six weeks. Avoid lifting heavy objects for four weeks. Scars will be pink for the first few months, gradually fading over 12 to 18 months.

Expected Results
The results are immediately visible, with lifted and shapely breasts. The final shape is apparent after 3 to 6 months, once the swelling has subsided and the tissues have stabilized. The results are long-lasting, although subject to weight fluctuations, future pregnancies, and the natural aging process.
