Facial Cosmetic Surgery
Bichectomy
Bichectomy is a cosmetic procedure that removes the buccal fat pads, or Bichat's fat pads, located in the cheeks. This procedure refines the face, sculpts the cheekbones, and creates a highly sought-after "hollow cheek" effect. At Nobel Clinic Istanbul, this simple procedure is performed from inside the mouth, leaving no visible scars.

Procedure of the Intervention
The procedure lasts 30 to 45 minutes under local anesthesia. The surgeon makes a small incision inside each cheek, in the oral mucosa. The buccal fat pads are carefully located and removed. The incisions are closed with absorbable sutures. No external scarring is visible.
Post-operative monitoring and recovery
Very rapid recovery in 3 to 5 days. Swelling of the cheeks for one week. Soft food for the first few days. Antiseptic mouthwash. Resumption of normal activities after 2-3 days. Visible result after 3 weeks (reduction of swelling), final result in 2-3 months.
