Procedure of the Intervention
Two types of procedures are possible, which can be performed alone or in combination. Lengthening involves severing the suspensory ligament that connects the penis to the pubic bone, thus freeing the hidden part of the penis (a gain of 2 to 4 cm at rest). Thickening is achieved through lipofilling: fat is taken from the abdomen or thighs and then reinjected into the penis to increase its circumference (a gain of 2 to 4 cm). The procedure is performed on an outpatient basis under general or local anesthesia, depending on the technique.
Post-operative monitoring and recovery
Swelling and bruising for 1 to 2 weeks. Resumption of light activities after 3 to 7 days. Sexual abstinence for 4 to 6 weeks. Final results visible after 2 to 3 months for lipofilling (time for the fat to settle).
